PALM SUNDAY: When Hope Comes Home

Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter, has long been celebrated by Christians to remember the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem, to face what would be the most agonizing moments of his earthly life—arrest, crucifixion, death. But of course, the agony leads to glory—Resurrection on Easter morning. But even in the way he enters the city, Jesus declares an incredible hope for all who recognize him as King. It is a hope he brings home to us, a hope we need just as desperately today as people did back then.
