The Names of Jesus

We all have multiple names and titles we answer to. Sometimes these are professional and sometimes they’re personal, but these titles reveal something about us - and how we’re perceived: teacher, vice-president, brother, mom. In the Bible Jesus is referred to by a host of names and titles. He's called the Word, the Good Shepherd, the Son of Man, the Lord to name a few. But as we examine the Scripture we soon find out that these titles aren’t just clever nicknames haphazardly handed out. No. Each one reveals something important about who Jesus is and what He’s about. They’re insights into what Jesus is doing in the world and in examining these names, we find invitations to see Jesus for who He really is and even join Him in His work.
